Tooth Whitening

In our lifetime we only get two sets of teeth, our baby teeth and our adult teeth so its important to look after them.

Teeth Whitening

Brushing and flossing at least twice each day, is a god way of keeping them in good health and the gums. Most of us want nice white teeth and as we get older they can discolour, sometimes naturally sometimes because of the foods we are eating.

There are many dubious teeth whitening options out there. Many are harmful to the teeth (potentially damaging to the enamel) and not so good for your health.

I have found three products which appear to safely whiten your teeth, low cost and fairly instant results. It is important to know that some teeth whitening products can make your teeth/gums more sensitive.

Colgate MAX WHITE ONE OPTIC

This was easy to use (just brush like a normal toothpaste. It turns blue as you brush and there’s a lot of foam). But immediately your teeth feel and look a bit whiter. I did notice some tooth sensitivity and a little gum sensitivity when I used it frequently during the week. It was also cheap

Also oil pulling with coconut oil is good for teeth whitening, after a number of session. Remember if you’re oil pulling you must spit the oil out, as it contains lots of bacteria and toxins from your mouth, plus it will solidfy and block your drains if you spit it down the sink. so spit into a throwaway tissue and throw in the bin.
