You may have heard lots about Garcinia Cambogia and wondered whether it is any good for weight loss?
Garcinia Cambogia is a small fruit which some cultures have eaten to suppress appetite, encouraging you to eat less and feel more satisfied.
Although there are many experiments with rats showing weight loss, evidence indicates that the quantities used in the cheap supplements have no real affect on humans. The products contain hydroxycitric acid which inhibits the enzyme ATP Citrate Lysase which produces fatty acids in the body. Suppression of this enzyme in rats has been effective in reducing their body fat.
I have in the past lost a lot of body fat following clean 9 (forever) and this uses Garcinia to suppress the appetite and using protein shakes to maintain muscle, whilst losing weight rapidly for 9 days.
My experience of clean 9, now C9 is very good, but as it essentially means fasting using aloe vera juice and shakes it does require a certain level of mindset and determination to get through the first 2-3 days. As with all fasts after that period you have lost a small amount of water and some fat and your body starts to use fat for energy. The Garcinia supplements for me do suppress the appetite a little, but that may be because I take them with a lot of water. Often we think our bodies are hungry when in fact we need water. So its difficult to say.
So as an experiment I started taking 1 Garcinia tablet for three mornings and did not change my eating habits at all. Pretty standard food intake. I did reduce my weight by about 0.5 kg which is around a 1lb in 3 days, and my body fat went down by 1% and has remained lower since stopping the supplements. Its hard to say what the reason for this is. Certainly when using with the C9 the weight does come off quickly, and in my experience I have reduced my weight by 2.5 kg in 3 days, which is around 5 ½ lbs. This does include eating particular fruit and veggies if you get hungry, so its not a fast.
Interestingly I am now going to take 1 tablet before each meal and see what affect that has if anything as I still have some supplements left to use.
I’ve had heart issues in the past (rapid heart rate), and Garcinia does not affect me, however if you have any medical issues please consult your doctor/MD as I am not a doctor and my experience is my own personal journey.
If you want to try it yourself I have linked below the Forever Garcinia I used shown below,
I have also linked an online Garcinia that looked ok (it had a free membership to an online fitness program, and a couple of free extras including an ebook)
and one on Amazon that looked ok (it has coffee bean and green tea extract in it , which are also apparently good for weight loss and this particular one had lots of good reviews).
Let me know how you get on and if you had similar results to me
